Mailed from St. Petersburg (black "СПБ" postmark), it is franked with a red 3-kopeck Russian Empire stamp. It bears a clear arrival postmark "ГРУЗИНО НОВГ." (Gruzino, Novgorod). The address is written in Russian to L. Pūķukalne at the colony "Lyuben", Gruzino Station, Novgorod Governorate. The back features a dense handwritten letter in Latvian.
