Description
Barbarini Gustav (1840 - 1909) was an Austrian painter. Born in Vienna, son of the artist Franz Barbarini, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Albert Zimmermann, in 1862 graduated from the Vienna AH. Since the same year he took part in numerous exhibitions of the Austrian Art Association. Traveled in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. In his last years lived and worked in Hinterbrühl (Lower Austria). Painted alpine views, which were very popular among collectors.
