1894 Russian Empire 2-kopeck postal stationery wrapper sent from Riga to Arensburg (Livonia Governorate, present-day Kuressaare, Estonia). The item is addressed to the Royal Danish Vice-Consul, Mr. C. Schmidt. The front features two crisp Riga dispatch postmarks dated April 27, 1894. The reverse displays a clear Arensburg arrival strike dated May 1, 1894. A rare and desirable example of late 19th-century official correspondence addressed to a member of the diplomatic corps in the Estonian islands
