This letter is notable for being redirected (forwarded) to a new address, as evidenced by the red pencil markings. October 23, 1910. A letter from Moscow to Germany, cancelled with a railway station postmark; no receiving stamp is present. Hans Wolfgang Singer, the addressee, was a renowned German art historian and curator of the print collection in Dresden. The letter followed him (or attempted to) while he was vacationing in South Tyrol.
